Remember your mom yelling at you for climbing the "wrong" way up the slide? At Evergreen, there are no wrong ways. Kids can hammer nails into old wood, dig trenches in the dirt, and build precarious towers out of scrap pallets. It sounds crazy, right? But it’s actually brilliant.

The staff are there to supervise safety, not to say "be careful." They hand a kid a saw and say, "Need a hand with that?" It’s a place where a shy seven-year-old learns to negotiate with other kids for the best wheels for their go-kart. It’s real life skills, disguised as absolute chaos.

Why Your Wee One Needs a Wrench

Think about your average day. You're juggling emails, school runs, and fixing the Wi-Fi router. Your kid is often being told "no," "don't," and "put that down." Evergreen is the complete opposite. It’s a giant, loud, yes.

I once watched a little girl spend two hours trying to fix a broken wheelbarrow. She didn’t fix it. She got frustrated, she cried a bit, then she asked a buddy for help. That’s the magic. They learn that failing is just part of the building process. And that a problem shared over a pile of old tires is a problem halved.

Where else can a bored teenager get to wield a real hammer and build a three-story lookout platform? Nowhere. That’s why this place matters.
