Accident on the M1 This Morning
Accident on the M1 This Morningの全体像を丁寧に掘り下げてご紹介します。
Word on the street—or, more accurately, from a very grumpy bloke on Twitter—is that it all started with a dodgy overtake. One driver apparently tried to squeeze into a gap that was smaller than a postage stamp. Spoiler alert: It didn’t fit.
There’s also a mysterious rumour about a loose herring on the road. Yes, a herring. I’m not making this up. It’s either a very specific type of truck cargo, or someone was having a really bad fish-and-chip run. Honestly, at this point, I’d believe anything.
Emergency services were on the scene faster than you can say “sat-nav recalculating.” They sorted the mess, cleared the debris, and presumably gave the herring a proper burial. Heroes, every single one of them.
What It Felt Like to Be Stuck
If you weren’t there, imagine this: You’re sitting in a metal box, staring at the brake lights of the car in front. Your playlist has finished. Your podcast host is talking about the mating habits of slugs to fill airtime. And you’ve already eaten the emergency KitKat you swore you’d save for the apocalypse.
People started getting creative. I saw a photo of a man doing yoga in the middle lane. Another lady was teaching her dog to sing opera through the sunroof. Desperate times, my friends. Desperate times.
But here’s the silver lining: no one got hurt badly. A few bumpers were bruised, and a lot of schedules were ruined, but everyone went home. That’s the real win.
