Gaston's Sidekick in Beauty and the Beast

Look, I love Belle. She’s smart, brave, and reads books. But LeFou is the character who changes the most in the whole film. He goes from fawning enabler to a guy who literally chooses not to support his friend’s murder attempt. That’s a bigger arc than the Beast’s transformation from a CGI buffalo into a prince.

So here’s to LeFou: the loyal, clumsy, secretly wise sidekick who proves that you don’t need to be the hero to have a good story. You just need to learn when to stop following the wrong one. And maybe, just maybe, find a dance partner who sees you for who you are—even if it takes you a whole movie to figure it out yourself.
