Some fans swear there’s a secret plan to bring him back for a cameo. Here’s the tea: showrunner Alexi Hawley has never ruled out a return. In interviews, he’s hinted that Jackson’s story isn’t fully closed, just paused.

So, while he’s officially off the call sheet, hope springs eternal. Imagine a Season Seven crossover where Jackson returns as an FBI consultant. It’s not impossible—just deliciously tantalizing speculation.

Did you know that Jackson’s character was originally written as a comic relief rookie? Titus Makin Jr. pushed for more depth, turning him into a nuanced lead. That’s actor power in action!

Also, Jackson’s signature line, “I’m from a legacy of law enforcement,” is a direct quote from a real LAPD officer’s interview. The writers love injecting reality into the script.

And finally, the show’s creator says Jackson’s exit was partly inspired by a true story of a cop who quit to become a therapist. Art imitates life, and sometimes life imitates art.
