WoW isn’t the best game ever made. (That’s a whole other argument, and I’m tired.) But it’s the most persistent. It’s the friend who calls you at 3 AM because they’re lonely, and you answer because you’ve known them two decades.

So yes, I still play. I still alt-tab to work emails while my mage ports to Orgrimmar. I still get a little thrill when a rare spawn pops up. And I’ll probably be doing this in a retirement home, yelling at hobbits. (Wrong game? Don’t care.)

If you’re reading this and you’ve ever played WoW, you get it. The world is broken, the community is weird, and the grind is endless. But it’s ours. And that makes it forever.
