Now, I know what you're thinking: "What about school?" Well, most schools in Michigan will be open today, although some may choose to observe a moment of silence or hold a special assembly to commemorate the occasion.

Respecting the Day

So, how can you respect the day and still go about your daily business? Well, for starters, you could take a moment of silence at some point during the day to reflect on the significance of 9/11. You could also donate to a charity or volunteer your time to help those in need.

And, hey, if you're feeling patriotic, you could always wear some red, white, and blue to show your support for the country. Just don't forget to fly the flag at half-staff, as a sign of respect for the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
